What is a webchat ?

A webchat is a page that enables you and/or your customers to have online conversations with a group of people. Webchats have the purpose of trying to provide real time communications with people that have the same interrests. It can also be used to provide online support for projects, products and fan gathering. The benefit of a webchat is that the client does not need to have any knowledge of how it works. The webchat enviroment takes care of this.

How does scarynet provide webchats ?

Scarynet can provide any website with a simple piece of code that enables them to easily add a webchat to their site. You can choose between Java and HTML (through CGI). When a user connects to the chat he will connect to one of our IRC servers and join a channel as defined by the webmaster.
